Attractions of the region
Szczyrk – one of the main tourist places in Poland and very popular winter sports centre with numerous ski lifts and picturesque tourist routes, located near Skrzyczne summit.
In winter, for the “snow frenzy” lovers there are about 60 km of ski routes, over 30 T-bar lifts and chairlift to Skrzyczne.
Mountain hiking – a proposition for warmer seasons of the year.
Visiting Szczyrk it is worth seeing the regional attractions:
- Historic wooden St. Jacob’s church – the oldest and most precious historic building in Szczyrk, located in the city centre,
- The Sanctuary of Our Lady "Na Górce" – a place frequently visited by pilgrims where many couples get married
- Beskidzka Gallery – in which you can see the works of local artists
- Small old sheds on meadows and Skrzycznego, Klimczoka and Beskidka clearings
- preserved regional from XIX
- ruins of "Diabelski Młyn" near Jaworzyna
- natural attractions: Malinowska Cave, Cave in Trzy Kopce, Klimczoka Cave, Salmopolska Cave, Glacier Cave.
